Introduction

23 November 2007, I drove to Puerto de Cotos (1.830 m). When I arrived I noticed that I should choose less higher mountains because of the fog. I returned to Puerto de Navacerrada (1.860 m) and started solo-ascending Siete Picos. The mist covered the peaks but I thought that it would raise anytime. I did not see the sun in the whole day. First I ascended to "El Escaparate", continued on Senda Herreros, crossed the Col 1.935 m and started Séptimo Pico (2.138 m) ascent on the eastern slope. I ate something hiden behind the Séptimo Pico's summital rocks. They were covered by ice so I decided not to attempt it and continue on Umbría de Siete Picos' trail. There were no footprints on the snow and the fog created a ghostly atmosphere. My ascent finished on Segundo Pico (2.089 m), where I started the descent on the same trail. I reached my car at nightfall. The minimum temperature was -3ºC but I enjoyed that day in one of the most beatiful areas in Sierra de Guadarrama.
