Two Weeks in the High Andes

***UNDER CONSTRUCTION***

So we had grand intentions of using a week in Cordón del Plata to acclimatise before doing some more technical routes elsewhere, but after a first failed attempt and return three days later to Mendoza (faulty stove, one of the tents tore in ridiculous winds one night at Las Veguitas) we returned for another long stint, which constituted pretty much all of the ´mountain´ part of our short trip down to Argentina.

In the event, technical climbing in this area this summer looked pretty horrendous - following a poor winter season, there was very little good ice on most of the routes and, in fact, penitentes most of the way up most of the routes that did have snow.

But, yes, we managed to have an amazing time and here are the photos, enjoy!

Finally, we would like to thank the following people for their invaluable assistance and advice, without which, our trip would never have gotten off the ground - in no particular order: *coming soon*
