Mount Rainier

We started our two week sight-seeing trip in August 2003 visiting and admiring the cascade volcanoes at Washington's Mount Rainier. We camped for a view days at the foot of the mountain in one of the southwest-facing lahar valleys.

Mount St. Helens

After Mount Rainer we headed south to visit Mount St. Helens. We camped in the forests north of the mountain.

Crater Lake

After Mount St. Helens we drove to Crater Lake and camped a little bit to the north at Diamond lake. We circled Crater Lake at the rim and hiked down a brief trail to the lake.

Mount Shasta

We finally made our way back to Los Angeles. On our way we passed Mount Shasta and I fell completely in love with this mountain. I think at that time I decided to climb that mountain someday...
