Add Your Best Willis Creek Photos

Willis Creek is a true slot canyon with a calm babbling brook running through its center. Although this slot canyon is rather short, 2.2 miles, it can be combined with other canyons; Sheep Creek and Bull Valley Gorge, to make a great ten-hour hike or overnight backpack. The dramatic lighting of the canyon allows spectacular photographs if taken at the right time of day. The slot is nestled in the White Cliffs of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument near the Pink Cliffs of Bryce Canyon National Park.

lcarreauGreat page !!!

I'm definitely going to have to check it out! That name Willis ...
very interesting. In Pierce County where I was born, the highest
point is the legendary Mount Rainier. Rainier has a classic North Face, and it was named Willis Wall by an early Geologist. I'm NOT
indicating any connections, but be it Willis Wall or Willis Creek, it SOUNDS like a VERY NICE place to be! Thank you, your
ethusiasum and patience is SHOWING! (You might want to cover that up with something.) Have a good hike, Tanya! : > )

Thanks!!! :)

Yes, beautiful canyon with an odd name. ;)

Today was great until I fell into a frozen slot canyon on the way out and broke the ice on the way in.. well not too far in before Bo climbed down from where he was stemming to pull me out. It was so cold out too that I would have given anything for a ski mask all day today.. it never warmed up! I tied a bandana around my nose and mouth and had on sun glasses and a hat. It was SOOOO COLD!!! PS... never play in frozen slot canyons when its that cold outside!!! lol

It's a good thing you broke the ice, and not yourself. You seem to know a lot about computers. Please tell me, when you're CREATING your album pages, how do you ADD the "CHILDREN" and the "PARENTS."

Not sure what you are asking.... and I have no clue if whatever you are asking I am doing right. ;p I don't think I added any children to my albums -- did I? I am confused?

it's no problem! I think I'll call it a day, and let you "night owls" take over! I love your canyoneering photos, even though they
often make me hungry, and want to seek out a warm fire. THANKS!!!
