1-20-08. Visibility 100 + miles. The temperature was holding about 5 F. all day with 40 mph winds in the most exposed areas (it was nice to get in the trees or behind ridges and out of the wind from time to time!).
It was completely clear by 10:00 am.

Nice views of Grandfather mountain ridge, Table Rock, Roan Mountians, and even the sliver of the Black Mountains ridge line on the horizon!

I live about 30 mins from there and go there often. Love it in the winter. Good training for out west. Looks like fun. Was planning on going up then, but others things came up.
