The Rugged Gray Wolf Panorama from Gray Wolf Pass |
The Gray Wolf region of the Northeast Olympics is home to some of the most rugged scenery and inspiring views. Golden Eagles soar on the heights of the peaks surrounding the valley, and panoramic views are had from the 6400+ foot pass! The Needles, Mt Deception, Mount Anderson and Mount Olympus are all displayed. Other majestic peaks such as Wellesly Peak, Mount Mystery and Diamond Mountain also dominate the scene. Mt Cruiser and Mt Stone are visible to the south, and the Dosewallip's peaks rise sharply to the west. Wildflowers are abundant in these upper reaches, as are marmots and eagles. Solitude, wind swept nights, amazing views and rugged country are all what typify Gray Wolf Pass.
