The heavy snowfall during the winter of 2007-2008 and spring 2008 frustrated many people's climbing and travel plans, but it also produced a bounty of wildflowers. This album began as a representation of some of the wildflowers I photographed during a few days of hiking and climbing in Montana's Rocky Mountain Front in the summer of 2008; the main purpose, though, was for my wife to see those pictures while I was away. But I returned in 2009 and was able to get some more nice shots (or so I think).

For every different flower pictured here, there probably were one or two other species that were either too small to photograph, too hard to photograph, or no longer in good condition. I know the general or specific type of some of these flowers, but not all, and any help naming them will be appreciated.
