FOR WILD ANIMALS AND FOR CLIMBERS.....

Janowickie Garby is a forested rocky range in the NW part of the Rudawy Janowickie Mts. (SW Poland). This range is separated from the most western rocky group called “Falcon Mountains” by the Karpnicka Pass. "Falcon Mountains" are some climbing centre in Poland. Toward the east the slopes of Janowickie Garby contact with the Janowka River valley. Through the range in the NS direction there are scattered nice rocky outcrops visited by climbers. In the range there are no tourist trails, only some paths (see a scheme below). Climbing routes on these rocks are of the II, e.g. the Skalna Grzeda rock, to VI.4, e.g. the Gubernator rock, grades. The range seems rather inaccessible and wild, especially after the last wind blows. The beech-spruce forest in this area was damaged. In the past, during the XII-XIIIth c. and then in the XIXth c., there was here a serious mining of ores and granite. Some traces of this activity are still visible (hollows, quarries). Pictures presented in this album show mainly a surrounding area of two rocks called Decjusz and Klapaucjusz (this group is described as “Janowickie Skaly”).
It will be continued……..
