In preparation for a scout trip to Kings Peak in 2007, I decided to drag as many as would go, up Ben Lomond. I thought it might give them a good taste of what was to come.

Botany was never my thing. I'm glad there are guys like you who can school us doughheads on the prettier things in life. I'll remember those names now. As far as the trip, I've always liked Ben Lomond. It's close to where I live, and it's a very long day in a hot, dry area.I think it's one of the most challenging climbs in northern Utah due to the length of the routes. The scouts were hating life though by the end, due to the fact that they sucked all their water down at the summit. They brought enough, it just didn't last. Luckily, I had plenty and so did others, so they all lived. And, they made it up on Kings too. I had a bigger group on Kings. I'll be posting those very soon. Thanks for the comments and votes. You're one of those local pros I follow. Keep giving me those TR's!

Looking forward for your Kings TR & thanks! There is at least one BIG difference between there and Ben Lomond, and that's the elevation, but hopefully you got no terrible problems with it
