Picture Puzzle, High Sierra

This is a day hike to the top of Picture Puzzle, 13,280+, Inconsolable Range, Eastern Sierra, John Muir Wilderness.
The hike starts at South Lake trailhead. From Hwy 395 in Bishop, turn at West Line St. on 168. Drive 20 miles into the range and turn left on the road to South Lake. Take the Bishop Pass trail up to Long Lake and take the trail left to Ruwau Lake. Go left around Ruwau Lake and scramble up the north slope. (class 2) When you get to the crest traverse along the left side of the north ridge (class 3). The summit is easier class 3 than the traverse. I decided to take a "short cut" down the west chute to the Bishop Pass trail for a descent. Not recommended! It's 2,000' of loose rock and scree. Took 3 hours! Take the ascent route.

""Point of view"- based perception itself-is a kind of maze, in which one does not get the direct (and liberating) sighting of the Reality one is actually in. Rather than seeing Reality Itself, one is always seeing the "point of view-based "reality" one has naively constructed. And always--no matter how many landscapes, portaits, still lifes or visual narratives one looks at- ALL perspectival-constructed images are essentially about oneself (or the "point of view"-bound and space-time bound percieving and thinking ego-"I")."   --Adi Da Samraj
