FFD

Three friends and I attempted a fall climb of the nice alpine route, the Flying Dutchman. The day was great for climbing alpine ice, clear, cool and calm. However, on the descent the bad weather came in and made things interesting. These are the pictures from that day.

Great collection of photos, jfox. I've been looking forward to finally trying out some ice climbing this winter and your album has got me even more excited.

Thanks Sarah. The FD is a great route. If you want to learn ice, have a great time doing it, try out all kinds of gear for free, you should head down to the Ouray Ice Park for the '09 Ice Festival. It runs Jan. 9 - 11th next year. Its a great time!
