Approximately three miles south of the Norris Geyser Basin in Yellowstone, along the Loop Road is the popular Artists' Paintpots. A group of over 50 springs, geysers, vents and mud pots are found at the trailhead for this .6 mile trail of boardwalk and pathways. These thermal features exhibit shades of blue, gray, white, brown and range in texture from clear to solid. Their behavior changes depending on the amount of subterranean water available. An easy (stroller friendly for the most part) loop trail runs through the partly wooded land. There is a short climb up a hillside giving a great view of features in this basin.

Feel free to add your pictures taken at the Artists' Paintpots.
