This route of West McMillan Spire is the the most popular climb in the Southern Picket Range. Like many other climbing parties, we intended to climb more routes than we did during our trip. But it was the weather, not the brutal approach, that kept us from climbing our intended route up the west ridge of Inspiration Peak the day prior. West McMillan spire is nonetheless an amazing climb and the views from the summit were perhaps the most beautiful I have seen from a summit in Washington State.
