Goode Mountain climb - Southwest couloir climb

Our climbing team of (3) from Colorado/Washington climbed the Southwest couloir on Goode Mountain from August 15-17, 2009. We backpacked in 13 miles to five-mile camp on August 15 via Stehekin and the boat across Lake Chelan. We climbed the peak on August 16 via the southwest couloir in a long 17 hour day. We belayed a few pitches at the top, and also did some running belays. There were about 5 rappels on the descent. We descended the final 3000 feet to camp by headlamp and GPS. We backpacked out to Stehekin on August 17 and returned by boat on August 18.
