Huts around Planjava

Planjava (2394m) is massive, one of the easternmost Big Ones in the Alps, and it certainly presides in the eastern part of the range, towering over the right bank of the upper Savinja valley (Logarska dolina).

The N face is an awesome monolith with a breathtaking 1000m drop, and it is just as wide.

The S side, overlooking the city of Kamnik, is as impressive, but in a different way. The sunny side of Planjava is a multitude of walls, slopes, ravines and ridges. Let us enumerate:
the SE slope below the E ridge and Lucka Baba, the Zeleniske spice ridge which sprouts out of the E ridge, turns around and drops southwestwards above the Kamniska Bistrica source. Further: at the head of the S face, the Planjavske Zelenice grand funnel (the Planjava greens) which suddenly breaks into the SE wall and the S wall. The next ridge leaving the summit mainly has a SW orientation, but then it divides on its way down. The SW wall, and finally the W wall put an end to this list.

The amount of routes on Planjava is of course considerable, maybe even close to 200.
