Overview

These are some photos of the Montardo Circ taken during an ascent to the Montardo peak in August of year 2000.

The Montardo Circ is located in the Pyreneean Aigüestortes Natural Park, at the head of Tor river and is part of the Boi Valley. The mountain ridges that close the circ are the Bessiverris - Comaloforno - Tumeneja to the NW, Montardo - Cap de Port peak to the N, Agulles de Travessany to the NE and Punta Alta de Coma les Bienes to the S.

The terrain is granitic, shaped by old glaciers and now is full of small lakes.

Near Estany Negre and at the slopes of Agulles de Travesany there is the Ventosa-Calvell Hut, a nice one.

Another very beautiful album!

It really tempts me to go back to the Pyrenees...ever since I was in the Gavarnie-Torla area in 1993, I haven't been back...

Re: Another very beautiful album!

Thank you very much, certainly Pyrenees are great, as are the Alps and most mountain ranges in general!

Parents

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
