I would post much more but Pen;s scanner does very poor job with slides, the quality is not there and I do not know how to improve it. Its HP Scanjet 4470C..
Any sugestions? We aborted all our plans for the summer as Pen's Mom in England is having serious surgery in mid June. We are going there June 10th and also to Czech Republic. When we get back, we will just work like mad, so the summer will be over before we do anything. We hope to climb SW Ridge of Mt. Kenya and Heim Glacier on Kili next January. How are you? You are welcome to stay with us when you are here in Idy, just let me know you're coming.

Great image.If my wife's health is improved by then, we plan a trip out west next year. Likely the Sierras. I'm tending toward Matterhorn Peak for my first Western mountain (not counting Mount Palomar). But I'm open to suggestions.
