Alpine gold, hulsea algida, against shadowed granite boulder, below Mount Mendel at over 11,000 feet in Kings Canyon National Park. One of our highest sierra alpine wildflowers. Taken with a 7mp Coolpix with cropped original at 2000x2200 pixels.
