| Not sure I would agree with the "classic" ridge walk described by Lopez but still good fun. Mainly class 2 with maybe a little class 3 that one could easily bypass. Very scenic area with some of the better alpine lakes I have come across in Idaho. | |

| Climbed Altair as the third peak of the day over 11800’. Started with Peak 11887’ from our camp at Baptie Lake, then Standhope, and finally a traverse to Altair. I was dreading this final climb a bit because the ridge looked very loose from a distance, but I was glad to find the rock was actually very stable. Hung out on the summit for quite a while, didn’t want the day to end. Here’s a write up and a bunch more photos of the trip. | |
