Although it didn't look like 2,000 vertical feet to me, it sure felt like it (September 20, 2003). The first few hundred yards were especially steep.

I bet you were pissed that you couldn't bring your fireworks to the summit. What? no bottle rockets or roman candles, what kind of mountains are you hiking?
