An uncommon view of the Everest group, taken from near Makalu.
Everest is on the right, with the Northeast Ridge dropping towards the right. The upper Kangshung Face is lit by morning sun.
The distinctive peak in the center is Lhotse Shar, left of that is Lhotse Main. The Nuptse wall continues to the photo's left edge.
The conical peak in foreground shadow is Cho Polu.
