Voted 10/10 | was right !!! At this vantage point, it really doesn't look like a lot of snow. Yes,
I realize this is the south-facing side, but I thought there might be a greater amount of snow. What was the lowest nightime temperature that was experienced on this awesome marathon??? - Larry | | Posted Apr 3, 2008 11:47 pm |

Hasn't voted | it was a good deal more snow there 5 days after this picture was taken. it isn't about the snowfall as such. It's all about the winds moving the snow in and out in this windtunnel-like depression between 13ers.
No clue about the temperatures. During the day the wind was from the SW and thus not super cold. Later it night it started blowing from the North and a good deal colder. | | Posted Apr 4, 2008 3:16 pm |

Voted 10/10 | And unique perspetive too. How did you get such a clear, seemingly "close-up" image? | | Posted May 19, 2008 12:13 am |
 | | Dmitry Pruss | But it is a close-up | |
Hasn't voted | compared to most aerials SPers post! Larry took this shot from his small aircraft making a turn hardly 2,000 ft above the upper reaches of Painter Basin. | | Posted May 19, 2008 10:33 am |
