& love the color of the rock - like some of the stuff at Smith!

Thanks! The rock is sandstone of the Fountain formation. The rocks of that formation found around Boulder--Flatirons and Eldo--are "fortified" by a hard potassium feldspar. The color is partly due to Hematite.
