| What a great hike! Did it once from the canyon and once from the West Rim Trail, which was a great hike. We came from Kolob Canyon in June, only seeing one other group the whole trip. Southern Utah really stuck on me and, like the previous poster, decided to build nearby. | ||

| Fun trail for the family...I love Zion. This whole trip inspired me to build a winter place next to Snow Canyon State Park, St. George. | ||

| We started early to avoid the crowds and had the top to ourselves. The hike is short and steep. I found the last part of the hike to be very fun. The cables are not really needed but are there for people who are scared of heights. Probably the best views of Zion in the whole park. | ||

| Started out with Hail and a lightning storm in the parking lot. Made the first part of the hike very exciting. We got up to the last section before the chains in about an hour and then proceeded to make the second acsent of the day. I know this because there was only one set of foot prints in the snow ahead of me. It was sunny by the time I got to the top and the snow was melting with made the decent better. Absolutley amazing views from the top. Got to be some of the best in the world. | ||

| Despite all the people, this is one of the most incredible places I have ever been. Can't believe it was my 3rd trip to Zion before made the hike. Never will miss it again. Had a great day with my wife and about 1,000 others. | ||

| This was a beautiful climb at a much lower elevation than I was used to in Wyoming. I loved the climb and the incredible desert scenery that surrounded Angels Landing. | ||

| Got up early for a quick climb, and scrambled past the masses. I found it amusing how many people the final section of the route scared off, where I found it to be grand fun, especially without the cables. | ||

| Did this as part of a 4 day whirlwind southern Utah/northern Arizona hiking trip. Great hike with fantastic views and nice exposure. Not too keen on the paved trail, though, and I can't say this is a good place for solitude. There were probably 15-20 on the summit with me, and traffic jams all up and down the class 3 portion. And this was a Weds. Overall though, I highly recommend this as a quick (took me 2.5 hrs) way to get a bird's eye view of an amazing canyon. | ||

| My son Jon and I came from Idaho to climb (hike) in Zion and this was on my agenda as he had never done it though I have several times. We had a wonderful time although the trail was somewhat crowded. We had a once in a lifetime expeirence as father and son on Angel's Landing, Observation Point trail and Hidden Canyon trail as well. When we got back home to Idaho I read that a 14 year old Boy Scout had fallen 1000 ft to his death from the top of Angel's west side. My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends. I know the place he must have wanted to explore and it sent chills up my spine. PLEASE be careful and if you have younger children in your climbing party, BY ALL MEANS keep an eye on them. Teach them to wonder and not wander. This is a great hike but NEVER let the worn trail mislead you into thinking this is a safe trail. Our Parks Service can only inform you....not keep you from harm's way if too complacent. Be well and wonder safely. | ||

| Great hike - shame there are so many other people on it though. Nice exposure near the end and several in my wife's family stopped, leaving my wife and I to continue. On the way down I ran into someone I knew from high school - 12 years earlier in Texas. That has to be my most random encounter on a trail. | ||

| An amazing stop on a solo cross-country drive back from Death Valley to Colorado. Froze my butt in the empty campground the night before and really enjoyed the strenuous climb to warm up in the morning. The chains were great fun - reminded me of Old Rag in Virginia. This is one of those deeply amazing places in southern Utah that makes you feel more alive just being there. | ||

| Last peak on a road trip around the country. We're almost back to California. One of the most spectacular views we saw throughout the entire trip. Looking down Zion valley was like looking into a prehistoric time where the land created life and not the other way around. | ||

| Angels Landing was the first of the more than 130 different Zion summits I've attained over the years. One of the best hikes around. Did it most interestingly in Aug 2003 in heavy rain and high winds. What a rush! -3rd time: in fall 2008 with DB, Tom Jones and Andy Archibald; -4th time: in March 2009, as the 5th peak of the day (25 minutes roundtrip from Scout Lookout, despite the crowds, and without using my hands!); -5th time: 6/13/09 - wrapping up a 17-mile/4,400 foot roundtrip jaunt up to the West Rim highpoint atop Horse Pasture Plateau. | ||
