Annotated panoramic photo of the Tuolumne Meadows area, taken from Tresidder Peak. Tuolumne Meadows is the flat, low-lying area, roughly between the marks for Fairview Dome and Mount Dana.
Note the change in geology -- from light grey Sierra granite to red metamorphosed sedimentary rock -- as you go from Mount Conness to Mount Dana, northwest to southeast.
