This photo looks so much like it was taken in Yosemite Valley; but it wasn't, it was taken from the base of Tehipite Dome overlooking Tehipite Valley. This is Yosemite Valley's wilderness cousin, just a bit narrower and steeper. There are no cars, no tourists, no garbage, none of that b.s.. You have to work to get in and out. It's a comfortable two day hike from Wishon Reservoir, but can be done in one long day. I've visited three times and had the whole pristine habitat to myself each time.
