Antelope Canyon

The Corkscrew part of Antelope Canyon is quite pretty, but too bad there are now staircases in there.

Why

were stairs erected? Is there a major trail through the canyon in a popular area or something?

	Hasn't voted	Two reasons. 1. The flash flood deaths in 1997 when 11 people were killed all at once. 2. It's on the Navajo Reservation and the Navajos have turned it into a tourist attraction and charge money to go there. Anyway, Antelope is nice, but there are thousands of other slot canyons to explore that are in a wild state. Antelope is worth seeing once (each end), but I like the wild canyons better.
