Approach to the summit scramble
It was a rainy day, with the remnants of Hurricane Felicia moving through. But we had a 4 hour window of rain-free weather and made the most of it with this pleasant hike. Here we are crossing the saddle to the head of the giant, approaching the brief cat 3 scramble leading to an area with a bit of exposure before the summit. To the left is the Waimea river mouth and bridge.
