Approaching the summit fire tower. On this day the tower was closed to the public. I carried my backpack up here as training for a trip out west. Taken in April, 2002.

Fire towers up in Canada (at least one I know of) are open. The government just puts a sign on it that basically says, “If you get hurt, it’s not our problem.”
