Kind of a bear  Sucess!

Route discribed gets seriously sporty if you are going to overnight on the beach.no way around the hot springs so you end up getting naked and carrying 30 lbs of camping gear on top of your head through the slick ass springs. One fall and you are in for a miserable wet night. Trust me it sucks.

Recommend the white rock route for campers. The hot springs are right next to the beach anyway...

With now XGF  Sucess!

A trip with a now ex-girl friend. After a thunderstorm, it was still cool, but later on the way out (in the dark) it was well over 100. Spooked a rattle snake in the wash, so we put on head lamps from there.

Kinda' made it  Sucess!

Made it to the river, followed a French guy who caught up to us at the river and said he knew where to go. After going back and forth along the river I spotted the easy to see trail sign (with bathrooms) when it was too late. We had to catch a plane. Does 99.99% of the way count? We'll be back, love the area!!

Back for More  Sucess!

Went there with my gf over spring break. We saw four big horn sheep right before we got to the hot springs. The ladder is back up

Been there half a dozen times ...  Sucess!

...from the river, from White Rock Canyon, and from the canyon upstream from the Hot Springs. It never gets old, just a little crowded sometimes.

from above and below.

Nice place. Don't dunk your head, unless you want to die from amoebic encephalitis.

Re: from above and below.

If you had open wounds, like cuts on your arms or legs could that Amoeba affect your health?

Re: from above and below.

No, because what is deadly about the amoeba here is that it effects your brain. So nose and ears are closest to your brain.
