Arrow Mtn has always been one of my favorite peaks. I have hiked it mostly in spring because it melts off early. I have been up there when the wind was out of this world. I threw a baseball sized rock straigt up and it moved sideways before it came down. I have had to use ski goggles when the wind it really screaming. My last time up there was in 2007 for my birthday with my wife, truly a great view to see. I love the view of Gannett from the top. The northern Winds feel so desolate when you look at Goat and Ram flat and see the flat and barren plateaus. When my wife and I were approcaching the main peak last time, four large bull elk went running by. There is something magical about this region.
