Ascending the Granite Slab area...
Shortly after leaving the ascent couloir, we had to traverse/climb an area of granite slab. The rock is very good, and posed no problem, but would be quite dangerous if wet or icy. (The slope is somewhat greater than it looks in this picture—one of the drawbacks of using a camera with fixed lens/back ratio!) Photo by Vernon, October 14, 2006.
