Ascent of Krivan (2495 m)

Hiking Krivan in a nice summer day, you meet during your day here approximately 400 other hikers. Although skialpinism is forbidden here, the central chute is often being skied down (example 1, example 2, example 3, example 4). Hovewer, in so doing you risk confrontation with NP rangers. In march 2007 some 63 skialpinists were here at one moment.

Seen on the day of the Slovak national ascent on Krivan on 19th august 2007. You may see hikers following the ridge from right to the summit.
