Yeah I agree - Shirley also told me the same thing (i.e. stuff along the lines that she couldn't believe I f..ed up where I did :) Oh well...

Hey Rick. Aaron's like the Toucan Sam of route finding. "Follow your nose...it always knows." For the rest of us mortals it happens.

You should have seen the mess I made of the first pitch on Sunrise Book. Hmmm...
beautiful chalk-marked hand cracks to the left or obviously untravelled rock to the right. You guessed it, I ended up having to making a poorly protected 5.10+ traverse back left on lichen covered slab to get to the belay.

I recall taking a big whip on P1 of SR Book when I got off route on the start & ended up on a blank (hard) face...oh well :)
