At the summit of Whitney we...
At the summit of Whitney we were greeted by a hut, about a hundred people, and even a marmot scavenging for scraps. The Needles, however, were more solitary and offered near-360 degree views, blocked only by Whitney and each other. This picture looks from the top of Keeler Needle to Marc (the black dot), lying on top of Day Needle (now Crooks Peak), July 23, 2001.
