Atascosa Peak

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Atascosa Peak
A view of Atascosa Peak from the South near Atascosa Lookout. This is the best view of Atascosa. From farther away one cannot see the summit cliffs and the fantastic relief. The ridge in the middle of the picture is where the cairned trail leads. It looks as if there is a large elevation drop, but it is not as bad as it looks. From the point where this picture was taken to the summit of Atascosa is about 45 min to 1 hour.

Thanks Bubba! The mountain is really cool from this angle, but not from the west. I was really surprised by how fun this mountain was to climb!
