| There is no parking at UCCS anywhere on campus without a permit. Regardless, a better way to hike up this hill is to park at the Four Diamonds parking lot on North Nevada and Eagle Rock Road (or the mall across the street). There's a nice trail that starts behind the building at the SE corner of lot #14 that climbs through ponderosa pine and an open field before reaching the UCCS dorms on Stanton Rd. A trail leading up the west ridge starts behind one of the dormitory buildings, Shavano House. Very nice views from the top. | |

| This was a cool little outing for a cloudy day with a "hard stop" time constraint in the afternoon. I wish the skies had been clear for better views, but this was still a nice little walk. | |
