After morning conditions made a climb of Sublette Peak unfavorable, Mike Hoyt and I headed back to camp, had lunch, and then went up this peak in the much-improved afternoon. It's an easy peak in an incredible setting with unbeatable views.
I was camped for two nights at Upper Brooks Lake. One of the days, I hiked to Bonneville Pass and then wandered up this peak, not knowing its name at the time. I found a way from the peak back to camp, but it involved lots of bushwhacking and route-finding, so I don't recommend it to people who don't enjoy those things.
"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."
