Autumn Alpine Tundra:Alpine Spring Beauty
This lovely alpine tundra plant bears a white flower and green, leathery leaves in the summer.
The first cool breaths of autumn change the leaves to a firely crimson.
Commonly called the "Alpine Spring Beauty," scientific name: Claytonia megarhiza.
This is a high-alpine succulent perenial.
