Autumn Crocus photo compilation
Autumn Crocus (Colchicum autumnale) is also called Meadow Saffron and like moist terrain. They are often mistaken for true crocuses, even though they bloom only in autumn. Autumn Crocus is poisonous to humans and livestock due to the presence of Colchicine- a highly poisonous alkaloid.
