Hasn't voted | Just had to comment on your reptile photo. When mature, these guys can actually "blow themselves up" & WEDGE themselves between two rocks, in order to prevent capture. See them when I go to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum near Superior, Arizona. Both the Mojave & the Sonoran deserts apparently have them. THANKS! | | Posted Sep 21, 2007 10:10 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thank you. I have not seen the mature ones yet out in nature, but it's probably because they like very hot weather and I don't. I'm pretty sure they are around here in the desert. | | Posted Sep 22, 2007 1:03 am |

Voted 10/10 | I've been trying to capture the essence of the lizard for many days now, yet it eludes me. You're lizard picture is amazing! A definite picture of photo excellence! | | Posted Sep 22, 2007 2:01 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Jordan. I've had a really nice time with this little being. He or she (not sure) was very curious about us. Its first encounter with humans perhaps...
When trying to get close to lizards try to be patient. Once they realize you are not there to eat them, they will stick around for the photo. Some of them will stop and try to show that you are on their territory by doing push ups. It's kind of funny. | | Posted Sep 22, 2007 2:17 am |

Hasn't voted | Yes, he was a bit chubby ;) I'm not sure what he eats up there. It is such an arid mountain. | | Posted Sep 28, 2007 2:18 am |
