Bad News

I know many people like their blue skies and puffy white clouds in mountain photos, but moody shots like these are always my personal favorites.

I was on my way from Greybull Pass (Absaroka Range, WY) to the summit of Brown Mountain in a bid to beat the approaching storm, but I had to stop and photograph this scene. Pictured is Spar Mountain, and those clouds would be over me, dumping hail and tossing lightning about, in about 15 minutes.
