Take I-70 west to exit 205 (Silverthorne).Take CO-9 north.
Take US-40 west to Muddy Pass.
Park on the north side of the road.
Baker Mountain
Climb
Greg, Luke and I crossed US-40 and skinned west up Little Muddy Creek drainage to Baker Mountain's northeast ridge. We continued up the ridge to the summit (9,824'). We skied down close to our skin track. The snow was decent; powder with spots of hard, windpacked snow. The trees were either too tight or filled with too many downed trees to make this a desirable run.
