Super Bowl Sunday Storm
Did the Bowl with Travis, Taco Del Rio and Tom Becht in a howling storm with whiteout conditions and severe winds at the top. Great adventure with a great groups of guys.

Super Bowl Sunday Storm
I've done several snow climbs of the bowl, the last being during white-out conditions and severe winds at the top with Taco Del Rio, Travis and Tom Becht. Memorable day with a fabulous group of guys.

Baldy Bowl
The bowl was in great shape with well consolidated snow. Went right up the center. Plenty of blue ice under the snow near the top. Mild temperatures with deep blue skies. Great way to spend the day!

Nice day...
Climbed with Physics. Nice sunny day above 5K'. It was sprinkling below 3K'... A little windy on top... Great day to break in my new winter boots... Good conditioning hike.

Baldy and Dawson
Climbed Baldy Bowl to the summit, then went north to Dawson Peak and back. Great elevation workout.

They figured our odds were slim to make it to the summit, but I was optimistic and we persevered.

First Time up the bowl
Yesterday was our first time climbing up the bowl. From the ski hut we took the most center route up the bowl. Not to dangerous, but definitely a workout! The stairmaster at the gym definitely pays off for something like that.
Extremely windy on the summit but very worth the climb.

Great snow climb, not too difficult or dangerous, but a great workout, great photos, and a lot of fun. Went with Rick Kent, forjan, patrickfinley, uwjennie, and . . . sorry I don't know all names, but it was great to hike together.

Baldy Bowl w/ friends
Climbed with Patrick, Rick Kent and Day Hiker. Ran into uwjennie, her b/f and friend. Awesome day in the Bowl. Great glissade down too! Afterwards we all went for burgers & beers at the Mt. Baldy Lodge (thanks for the suggestion Rick!)
Nice little snow climb. Lots of skiiers, and evidence of snowslides, but had no problems. Gets hot in the bowl when the sun is out.

Baldy Bowl(ing Alley)
Within a week of 2 nasty accidents in the Bowl, I took my chances on a solo daytrip. View from summit obscured thanks to LA smog but the climb up the Bowl was worth the trip; great consolidated snow, would hate to try this without it.

Free EntertainmentI love going up to the bowl in the winter/spring time to watch the talented skiers and boarders. A great hike,beautiful views and free entertainment.

Cold dayFirst time on moutain, solo in the winter and whole day on mountain to myself.
