A pretty phenomenal route, one you could do a bunch of ways in a bunch of conditions to mix it up some. Views throughout are spectacular. Traversed in 3 days from east to west with a side trip up Kaitiaki and a play on Ball Glacier, all through Alpine Recreation. Cold front blazing through led to some cracking sunsets and sunrises, a very windy ridgetop and fresh snow on the last day. Great experience all round.

Started solo. Met a couple locals the night before heading up the pass. Nice to have company. Erased all my photos accidently. Was I ever glad they had theirs. Thanks again guys. Finished hike solo from pass after staying a night in shelter near Glacier and road.

A three day crossing, including one day of practising and fun on the glacier, with Alpine Recreation. We started from the Tasman Valley. Wonderful trip!
