I had visited the Karakoram mountains of Pakistan several times before I went to the Baltoro, prefering to climb in less popular areas. When I finally went there I was not disappointed; the mountains are incredible. Most memorable for me were the huge rock walls of the Trango Towers and Baltoro Cathedrals, the West Face of Gasherbrum IV glowing in the evening light and K2 itself, the world's second highest mountain.
