| As if I wasn't into it the last time I hiked up here, another friend who actually had never even hiked wanted to come up here. Well, ok I guess. Stopped at the false summit, which everyone pretty much calls the summit anyway. Don't think I'll ever be back- there are too many other places to go- but if you've never been, it's a great place to visit. | ||

| Managed to squeeze this hike into a trip to Seattle for a job interview, thanks to friends who live nearby. I got the job, and am stoked to have a chance now to really explore the Cascades etc. | ||

| Starting out as a Michigan backpacker, the elevation change around here is new. Bandera was a good hike to get acclimated to WA mountain weather. Summit was in the clouds so we couldn't see anything from the top, but the trail was well marked so it wasn't a problem. Trail's in good shape. No snow until just below the false summit. | ||

| TimmyC | Nice walk ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 18, 2010 | |
| As full as the lot at Ira Spring TH was, I expected to see more folks on the trail, but I had a very pleasantly lonely hike. It was sunny in Seattle, but it started to sprinkle on me about an hour up. At least it waited to really pour until I was almost back at the car. This looks like it would be a fun snowshoe trip in the winter. | ||

| bmwboarder7 | Still Huckleberries! ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 5, 2009 | |
| Beautiful sunny day. The steepness after the trail splits off surprised us, but was fun nonetheless. The views of the lakes and Defiance and tons of other mtns was absolutely great. Made it to the true summit where we didn't see anyone else, or even any footprints. Grazed on huckleberries between the false summit and the true summit. The road is all cleaned up now and you can park at the TH again. | ||
