From Tabaiba Pass  Sucess!

Arrived in strong wind to Tabaiba Pass, with clouds being swept over from the north. Wasn't sure if conditions would get any better but they did for about an hour or so. Just enough to do a nice out-and-back hike on the highest portion of the ridge (marked trail) and take the unmarked but easy-to-follow side-route to Baracán (already in clouds again by that time). Had great views during the hike towards the southern shores and the nearby ridges and summits of Teno Mts. Absolutley recommended if you are in the area.

Good start   Sucess!

Headed towards Baracan, Pico Verde (Montaña de las Rosas) and Cruz de Gala from the Tabaiba Saddle. A wonderful day on the main ridge of the Cumbre de Masca. A bit hazy so that the islands were barely visible only.

Camino de los Riscos  Sucess!

Climbed the Riscos trail from Buenavista del Norte (sea level) and sidestepped on Roque el Toscon. Headed for Teno village and afterwards for the Baracan west ridge. After Baracan headed on to Tabaiba pass, then returned the way we came. Long tour but enloyable thanks to the great panoramic Baracan ridges.

Tabaiba Pass  Sucess!

A surprisingly delightful if not short jaunt up a minor high-point along this ridge. Hiked the ridge most of the way past Baracan down to the shore. Some good views of La Portela and Buenavista del Norte from the summit.
