| Third time was the charm for this one. First attempt in 2000, ended up just walking to the Baron Lakes which was pretty neat itself, second in 2003, ended up getting cliffed near point 8962. Great day, long hike. Really took it out of me, but the views are worth it. | |

| We had a nearly perfect day- firm snow, cool temps, light breeze, and the steps kicked by kdonaldson's group were mostly still in place on the snow. | |

| Summited in beautiful weather. Like July conditions in may. Climbed with Matt M. & Greg P. Snow was wet but fairly consolidated (except for a few painful sections). Actually forgot to sign the summit register, but it was great - names back as early as 1927. Great scramble at the top! We chose a line up the west face of the tower. | |
