Baruntse from our 20,000' foot (6060 m) camp just below West Col. November, 2002.
This is Camp I for Baruntse and the standard route is almost completely visible. You can see a wind-blown track heading up the lower slopes.
For us this was a high camp during the crossing from the Barun to Hongu Valleys.

Hasn't voted | Because I had the polarizing filter cranked way too much. Perhaps I was trying to remove some glare from the ice and did not pay attention to the sky, which quickly goes to black at higher altitude. Basically photographer error on that one! | | Posted Mar 26, 2008 10:25 am |
